The Proper Bostonian Quilters (PBQ) is having an exhibit of member quilts at the West Roxbury Branch Library, 1961 Center Street, West Roxbury, MA 02132.
The quilt show is open to the public free of charge. All quilts are the result of a summer challenge to PBQ members to create a quilt using hexagons. The interpretations are beautiful and diverse.
Throughout the weekend exhibit, quilters will be present at the exhibit hostessing, sewing, exchanging knowledge, socializing, and displaying our baking skills at the Opening Reception.

Happy Holidays 2016
On December 14 PBQ had our annual winter holidays celebration with a feast of delicious dishes from soup to nuts. The turn out was great. Tables were decorated with poinsettias and festive plates and napkins.
This year instead of our usual Yankee swap we had a gift bags exchange at each table, accompanied by music. Quilters sang along with some of the music and made an impressive chorus.
We did have a short show and tell. The photo pictured here is from the October Block of the Month. It was one of the quilts shown at the party.
Here's to a happy holiday season and best wishes to all for a happy, healthy, and peaceful 2017.
