A Nurse’s Needle
by Marguerite G.
Marguerite’s quilting journey started with long, quiet nights working as a nurse. She brought small projects to work on in the lulls and one thing led to another! She shared a collection of her smaller pieces with the Guild in November of 2025. Marguerite’s work is proof that small does not necessarily mean simple. She incorporates many techniques in her pieces such as raw edge applique, meticulous piecing, couching, and beading.
One of her quilts was inspired by her friend’s book cover. That special quilt hung in the Irish Embassy in London! Read Marguerite’s PBQ blog post about that quilting adventure here.
