Another summer challenge is in the books!

Every June we take on a creative challenge for our quilting projects while our guild is on summer break. This year the challenge theme was the kitchen. When we gathered again in September, we got to see what everyone had been working on.

Some members made items to use in the kitchen such as placemats, table runners, potholders, baby bibs, and aprons. There were also wall hangings, pillows, and framed wall art that incorporated our favorite treats or tableware. And even still there were the gorgeous quilts, runners, and hangings that used fabrics with fruits and vegetables that made our mouths water.

Those summer challenge projects are on display right now at the West Roxbury Public Library. Visit our Summer Challenge Gallery to see a sampling of what’s on display at the library. The show runs from October 4, 9-4 to October 5 9-1. Stop in and say hello!
