Gag Order

At a recent meeting, I asked the members who went to Maine in October for Guild Quilt Camp how their weekend went. Positive vibes bubbled up among laughter and knowing looks. I innocently suggested that they give me an anecdote that I could share with the readers of our blog. If you listen closely, the ensuing “No!” that resounded through our meeting hall can probably still be heard echoing around the greater Boston area. More laughter overtook those in the know. Everyone was still laughing when Jeannette looked at me and said, “What happens at camp, stays at camp.” The only real way to know what happens on those camp trips is to sign up, pack your sewing machine, your current work in progress, and anything else you can carry and head north with the PBQ caravan.

The next quilt camp trip is to Kennebunkport in early December. The Guild will meet for our holiday brunch a few days after the crew returns. Maybe a little eggnog and homemade baked goods will loosen lips and spill some quilty secrets. I won’t count on it, though. What I will count on is enjoying the camaraderie, laughter, and fun that we have at our meetings. If you’re not a member yet, you should visit us and join the fun. Who knows, you might even end up going to camp next time and have a few stories that you won’t tell me either!
